Ask Mitt Romney and he’ll unblinkingly say Obama made the economy worse.
UPDATE: Here’s Etchy Sketchy lying about job creation, just two days ago:
“They haven’t been able to create jobs. In fact, all of the decline in the rate of unemployment from 10 percent at its peak to 8.1 percent now is due not to job creation. It’s been due to people falling out of the workforce, dropping out of the workforce.”
Actually Romney is partially right. The unemployment rate is low because the Department of Labor does not count the unemployed if they no longer qualify for unemployment benefits. Over 200,000 lost their unemployment benefits this weekend alone which would mean the unemployment rate will go down even though it is much higher in reality.
The real unemployment is over 11% and a majority of jobs being created are seasonal or short-term. The so-called recovery was created by misrepresented unemployment rates and jobs only meant to last a few months.
