Since January 2012, the NYPD has killed over a dozen people, most of them being young, unarmed, people of color. In the last 30 days, the NYPD fatally shot two unarmed POC (Reynaldo Cuevas and Noel Polanco).
Too often do we hear similar stories about an officer beating and/or killing a person but rarely is the officer fired or even prosecuted. It’s time for us to take a stand.
Join us at Union Square Park on Wednesday, October 22nd at 4pm to remember those whose lives were cut short by the NYPD, to protest police violence and to hold them accountable for their actions.
